The AD, Health Economics & Outcomes Research Population Health will closely and proactively partner within HEOR and Medical teams to execute impactful real-world re-search projects, where Novartis collaborates with external organizations (such as Health Care Systems, Physician Practices and Payers) to co-develop innovative, impactful and scalable care process and out-comes research initiatives. Expertise in health economics and outcomes research methods, project management and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders are critical success factors.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Support collaboration with external customer organizations (Health Care Systems, Payers, etc.) to execute non-interventional research, including outcomes research, registries or other research projects to understand and advance patient care
•Partner closely with other functions to execute robust non-interventional research practices to ensure rigor, quality, credibility and transparency
•Ensure scalability of solutions being developed as part of projects to enable patient care improvement at scale
•Assist with management of multiple projects, including research or data partnerships with Health Care Systems, associated budgets as well as interact with external research partners in the execution of projects
•Publish and present research findings at scientific conferences and forums
•As a member of the US HEOR-PH team, contribute to department strategy and objectives.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $174,400.00 and $261,600.00 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/22 through 12/31/22, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Role Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role (Requirements):

• An advanced degree (masters or doctorate) in health economics, statistics, health policy or related field is required.
•PhD or PharmD with strong focus in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology or related field preferred.
•3 years’ experience in the pharma or healthcare sector, preferably with vendors conducting HEOR.
•Experience in shaping HEOR and RWE strategy and hands-on execution supporting inline and pipeline products/ disease states is required.
•Experience in engaging or partnering with external organizations (e.g., health care systems, payers, universities, value assessors, regulatory agencies, etc.) is required.
•Strong knowledge of Health Economics, Outcomes Research, and Real World Evidence including study design, methodologies, modeling, data sources and analyses is required.
•Ability to work well in a team and cross-functional environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision.
