The Procurement Compliance Specialist executes end-to-end Procurement related control activities on countries/site’s behalf to ensure that compliance is applied as per Novartis Control Frameworks (NFCM) and local law, and followed to the required standard. Interacts with the local process owners, Financial Service Centre associates, Financial Controls & Compliance managers, Global/Regional Procurement Operations associates and other relevant stakeholders to maintain seamless control execution, issue resolutions.

Your Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Support the creation, deployment and on-going maintenance of metrics and benchmark to
monitor the performance of the global process and its enabling system(s).
• Support the process super user community, ensuring regular engagement, training (including
process & tool demo) and collection of feedback.
• Provide guidance and support to the regions and countries and identify areas requiring
process and systems reviews.
• Support process reviews in the regions and countries and provide direction to develop and
implement action plans to address identified gaps.
• Support the execution of the country/local performance improvement plans.
• Extract the required data out of local systems (e.g. SRM R2P, Ariba/Upside, SIM, Save
Plan, Save Track, SAP) to prepare required control evidence for a given country/site, in
liaison with the country stakeholders, if required.
• Execute standard cockpit reports and any additional system-based reports as part of the
required control evidence and as basis for analysis.
• Structure the data extracted into relevant report format to support the analysis.

Role Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• University/Advanced degree is required.
• 3-4 years relevant experience
• Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) Japanese Language
• Experience in Pharmaceutical industry Procurement /contracting background
• Strong project management or other leadership experience.
