40+ is the dedicated number of team members you would be joining at IDB (Advanced Accelerator Applications, Netherlands) whose mission is to bring new therapies to patients wordwide by producing radiopharmaceuticals for targeted radioligand therapy. Job purpose and Main Activities
The purpose of the role of Project Engineer (Mechatronics) is to assure a flawless implementation of site and global projects. And assures all activities are executed in a GMP compliant manner. This role will also be critical in the optimization of our equipment performance.
• Lead or participate on the assessment or implementation of special projects or initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Lead complex root cause investigations
• Lead MTBF driven projects
• Performs change assessments and own’s change controls
• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
• Reviews equipment and engineering systems to support root cause analysis investigations and trend investigations.
• Being a thought partner for Capital Investments, equipment validation and process engineering
• Develop partnership with Global Novartis Engineering teams ensuring consistence and standardization of Engineering process.
• Second line escalation in case of equipment failures
• Driving continuous improvement from an asset perspective
o Reducing safety risks through simplification and error proofing machines
o Improving equipment reliability through equipment design modifications

• MBO or HBO degree (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics) with 8-10 years of working experience with proven track record within engineering
• Preferred qualifications: 5+ years of working experience within (pharmaceutical) GMP and or isotope manufacturing
• Attention to safety, able to work in an organized and structured manner through protocols and standards
• Attention to detail, ability to look at the process through the eye of the end-user as well as an engineer
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
• High degree of accuracy, initiative, and independence.
• Structured problem-solving skills
• Hands on mentality
• occasional willing to work outside office hours and in the weekend.
